louis sherry had a restaurant back in the 20s on park avenue in new york. presumably, he also manufactured and sold candy.
this tin has a hinged lid and wonderful, charming details. the color is a deep pink-y purple and there are violets and gold work on all sides. the inside has some age marks but no rust. there are a couple of light scratches to the paint on the lid
this is a one pound tin. the lid is marked 'louis sherry, new york, paris.'
