nubby, woven cloth that we think is linen. crochet lace edge in cottage-perfect pink, blue and yellow, there is a band of jadeite-color stripes at both ends of the towel. there is an embroidered letter above the stripes...it looks like an 's' but we can't be sure.
this could also be used as a dresser cloth, since the lace edge is at both ends.
there are two small places where the fabric is wearing thin, but no holes, and because of the loose weave of the fabric, it isn't really noticeable.
