what a flirt! we love the demure attire and the saucy expression on the face of this figurine.
her gown is so cute; bell sleeves, full skirt, and two little rhinestones detailing the front. she is holding a parasol and wearing a corsage 'pinned' to her dress: gold and another rhinestone on the side of her collar. the color is a rich brown with touches of cream (almost pink).
there is a stopper on the bottom, and two holes in the back of her dress, so it would appear that this was meant to be some sort of shaker. and while it could certainly be used for the intended purpose, we just think she is so charming, she doesn't need to do anything...just sit and look pretty in a vignette composed of other cottage collectibles.
she is a petite 3 1/4 " tall.
japan made, probably in the early 50s
there is a companion piece which is being sold separately. |
